Dead Zone ("the App") is developed and operated by Unbuilt Works ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information (Optional)

If you create an account, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password. Creating an account is optional; the App works without one.

Push Notification Tokens

If you enable push notifications, we store your device's push token to deliver alerts when a monitored service changes status.

Service Selections

We store which services you choose to monitor. If you are signed in, these are synced to our servers. Otherwise, they are stored locally on your device.

Network Diagnostics

The App uses your IP address to display network information (ISP, approximate location) in the Diagnostics section of Settings. This data is fetched in real time from a third-party API and is not stored by us.

Advertising Identifier (IDFA)

For free-tier users, we request access to your device's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. This is used solely for serving personalized ads via Google AdMob. You can decline this request, and the App will continue to function with non-personalized ads.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the App's core functionality (monitoring service statuses)
• To send push notifications about service outages and recoveries
• To sync your service selections across devices (if signed in)
• To serve advertisements to free-tier users
• To process subscription purchases

3. Third-Party Services

Supabase — We use Supabase for user authentication and data storage. Supabase processes your email address (if you create an account), push tokens, and service selections. Supabase Privacy Policy.

RevenueCat — We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat processes your anonymous app user ID and purchase receipts. We do not have access to your payment details. RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

Google AdMob — Free-tier users see ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization (subject to your ATT consent). Google Privacy Policy.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with the third-party services listed above, solely for the purposes described in this policy.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the App's services. If you delete your account, all associated data (email, push tokens, service selections) is permanently removed from our servers.

6. Data Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings > Delete Account within the App. Alternatively, you can email us at deadzoneapp@protonmail.com to request data deletion.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can promptly delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
